ZGM is aware of its role as a responsible employer and as an economic factor here in the region of Cochem-Zell and Bernkastel-Wittlich, we see ourselves not only as a business organisation but also as a social institution. Being a solid profit-generating and healthy family business we are pleased to be able to make use of this freedom of sharing our success with others and to be active in social and local matters providing an important contribution to the local community. 

We support for example the activities of the Lions Club Mittelmosel through financial sponsoring of various sustainable projects for children, young people and the needy in the region.


Using the financial means generated by the sales of our company magazine we are able to promote numerous and diverse social initiatives over the past years e.g. projects and measures of the Astrid Lindgren School in Dohr – a school which is specialised in the enhancement  of holistic and motor skills development. Furthermore, the Lions Club Mittelmosel also profited from this type of financial support in its funding of various projects.

The youth department of the local football club receives our financial support for the promotion of children’s sports abilities and even the very young can enjoy this sport and be encouraged and individually motivated and supported by professional trainers.

Furthermore, we support numerous regional clubs and institutions.

We are always open for parish initiatives and cultural organisations in our region, and we accompany projects which sustain development of cultural heritage and cultural events in the region. ZGM has been a long-time sponsor of the Mosel Musikfestivals, a musical series of events along the Moselle in the months of June to October offering over 50 first-class musical concerts including classical music, swing and jazz at different venues in extraordinary ambiente.

The many attractive and interesting tourist excursion destinations are of great importance to our winegrowing region and have brought countless national and international guests to the area. These attractions characterise the landscape and are enjoyed both by tourists and local residents.

ZGM was able to help with the new construction of the  Aussichtsturms „Prinzenkopf“  by supporting the call for donations by the local association, and now the magnificent view over the Moselle river bends near Zell can be enjoyed in full again.
